A checksheet is an official document outlining all of the courses and policies required to complete a given major or minor at Virginia Tech. Official checksheets for all Virginia Tech majors and minors are housed on the Office of the University Registrar's website.

You should refer to the checksheet for your “catalog year” - which is the academic year you entered Virginia Tech. Refer to the headers at the top of the columns to identify the correct checksheet year.

Note: Any student that began prior to Fall 2020 who has not graduated by 2022 will be transitioned to the 2021-22 catalog program graduation requirements. For example: students who entered during the 2019-20 academic year will follow the 2021-22 checksheet and corresponding roadmap.

Your academic “roadmap” takes all the course requirements listed in the official checksheet and arranges them to show what classes you'll be taking in each semester. Following your roadmap will help you stay on track for graduation. Use this as a guide to identify which courses to sign up for each semester.
