Some ART courses are designated as “topics” courses. Topics courses are established course numbers that allow us to offer a variety of different topics in a given subject area.  For example: in the same semester, we might offer three different classes using the ART 3704 course number:

  • ART 3704 TS: 3D Digital World Building
  • ART 3704 TS: Animatronics
  • ART 3704 TS: 3D Soft Modeling

(The “TS:” in the course titles above lets you know that it is a topics course.)

Some topics courses are offered at both the 3000- and 4000-level at the same time, in the same location, with the same professor. The difference is that students enrolled in the 4000-level version of the class will have additional expectations. Example:

  • ART 3704 TS: 3D Soft Modeling (Tues/Thur 12:30-2:25pm, LIBR 122)
  • ART 4544 TS: 3D Soft Modeling (Tues/Thur 12:30-2:25pm, LIBR 122)
