Currently there is no minor in studio art, however we do offer an interdisciplinary minor in Visual Arts and Society.

SOVA offers some study abroad opportunities that are open to all of our majors. There are also study abroad opportunities open to all Virginia Tech students.

Studio Art graduates are active artists, curators, museum personnel, designers, educators and are engaged in many creative fields. Recent graduates have entered masters programs in Studio Art, Art Therapy and Museum and Curatorial Studies. Others are teaching in public and private schools, have received internships at major arts organizations and are working in museums. Whatever our alumni pursue they have gained creative problem solving, technical and communication skills that will serve them well in the direction they choose.
