Bri O'Neal

Bri O’Neal is a designer and educator who is passionate about experiential learning and mentorship. As Director of FourDesign, Virginia Tech’s faculty-led, student-run design studio, she aims to guide students through real-world client projects that strengthen their creative confidence and professional skills.

O’Neal has over seven years of undergraduate and graduate teaching experience and served as Executive Creative Director of Open Quote Creative, a student design agency working with nonprofit clients. Her teaching emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking, and design as a tool for impact and service. Her students’ work has earned national and international recognition from Indigo Design Award, UCDA Design Awards, Young Ones One Show, American Advertising Awards, and the American Digital Design Awards.

She holds an MFA in Graphic Design and brings expertise in curriculum development, securing grant funding, research-based initiatives, conference presentations, and student mentorship.
