Amanda Lechner is a visual artist whose studio practice encompasses a broad approaches to drawing and painting. Lechner has taught painting and drawing at the university level for over a decade at Indiana University - Bloomington, SUNY Purchase and University of Iowa. Since 2019 she has held the position of Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech’s School of Visual Art. Lechner attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2018 and has participated in artist residencies at the Penland School of Crafts, the Wassaic Project in New York and at Stove Works in Chattanooga, TN. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States.
