Wonjung Jung

Growing up in Korea, Wonjung Jung was fascinated by Korean traditional painting and ended up majoring in it at college. After working in the advertising industry, she moved to United States and has been a painter and an illustrator. She has published five children’s picture books. Influenced by the East Asian painting style, Wonjung continues to experiment contemporary approaches to her work. Currently, she is teaching East Asian Water Media and enjoys observing students create their own solutions using foreign tools such as bamboo brushes and Sumi-ink.
