As an interdisciplinary artist and theorist. Lesley Duffield practices and teaches across the areas of documentary, installation, experimental video, animation, 3D computer graphics, and critical theory. 

Centering around themes of play, his projects and scholarship have investigate the ludic as a means of mediating the complex intersections of power, privilege, and representation; the role of play in generative systems; serious play in collaboration; embodied play as a means of recreating personal narrative and memory; the family; novelty, ecology and memory.
