Silvia Alberti is a designer, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of graphic design and interaction design. She holds a dual graduate degree from Iowa State University: an MFA in Graphic Design and an MS in Human-Computer Interaction.

Her research investigates how structured visual and interactive systems shape perception and participation within real-world social contexts, spanning UX/UI design, brand and visual identity, and critical inquiry into emerging technologies like AI.

Working through a community-driven, research-through-design approach, she designs with communities rather than for them, positioning design as both a responsible creative practice and a rigorous method of inquiry. She welcomes interdisciplinary collaboration across design, technology, and the social sciences, with particular interest in participatory and community-centered work.
