Meredith Drum is an Assistant Professor of Creative Technologies in the School of Visual Arts. As an interdisciplinary artist, she works across the disciplines of animation, video, mobile media, installation, and various modes of public participation. Her projects center around the cultivation of care for others, particularly the vulnerable, especially non-human life. She exhibits frequently in NYC at a variety of venues including Microscope Gallery, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Anthology Film Archives, Recess Art, Light Year, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Radiator Gallery, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, and other institutions. Internationally, she has presented her research and art work at ISEA 2018 in Durban, South Africa; ISEA 2017 in Manizales, Columbia; ISEA 2013 in Dubai, UAE; Rio de Janeiro’s Environmental Film Festival; Cinema Planeta Film Festival in Mexico City; Museo Valenciano de la Illustracion y la Modernidad in Valencia, ES among other places.
